Kinsey Named Ivy League Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Junior Annie Kinsey earned her first Ivy League Player of the Week honor this season, after her performance this past week against Lafayette and Columbia. Kinsey helped the Quakers split with Lafayette, and sweep Columbia, ending the week with a 5-1 record.

Kinsey started all six games for Penn. She batted .591 (13-for-22), with two home runs, three doubles and seven RBI. In the Red and Blue’s 13-5 win over the Lions yesterday, she went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI. Kinsey had a slugging percentage of 1.000 this week and an on base percentage of .654. She leads the team in overall batting average (.493), runs scored (18), doubles (7), hits (33), and on base percentage (.528).

The Quakers are in action today against Lehigh with a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. Penn will also continue their Ivy League schedule this weekend, as they travel to Harvard and Dartmouth for games on Saturday and Sunday.
