Kristen Lange Honored by Philadelphia Sports Writers Association

PHILADELPHIA - In the company of some of Philadelphia's biggest names in sports, Penn women's squash senior captain Kristen Lange was honored by the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association at their 106th annual dinner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill Monday evening.

Representing all Penn student-athletes, Lange was seated on the dais and was recognized for her many accomplishments in her sport. Lange has been a three-time first-team All-America and All-Ivy selection, Ivy League Rookie of the Year (2007) and Player of the Year (2009), and led her team to an Ivy League title in 2008. She finished last season number two in the nation and has advanced to the final round of the CSA Individual Championships every year.

Other honorees in attendance included Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid, Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel, the 1985 Villanova men's basketball team, 76er Willie Green, and Eagle Brent Celek. For leading his team to an Ivy title this fall, Penn football coach Al Bagnoli was also recognized. A full list of honored guests can be seen below.
