PHILADELPHIA - Junior Gilly Lane of the Penn men's squash team and freshman Alisha Turner of the women's squash team have been named All-Ivy, the League office has announced.
It is the third year in a row that Lane has been honored, while it is the first honor for Turner, who last week was named a Second Team All-American.
Lane, who went 9-5 in team play, 3-3 in League play and 2-1 at the CSA Individuals, joins an exclusive club of fivePenn squash players who have been honored three or more times by the Ivy League, and he is the first three-time honoree since Stewart Ballard in 1987-88.
Turner enjoyed a fantastic debut season and finished ranked14th in the nation.She went11-4 in team play 3-4 in individual play. Penn's No. 1 player for the second half of the season, Turner was one of the team's most consistent players over the course of the season.
