Freshman pitcher Lauren Li was named Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career, earning the award after picking up a win as well as a save during Penn’s 3-1 Ivy weekend.

The Los Angeles, Calif. native started Game 2 against Harvard on March 29, allowing two runs over seven innings for the complete game victory. Li is now 4-0 on the season and ranks second on the Red and Blue in victories, earned run average (2.70), games started (5), complete games (3), shutouts (1), innings pitched (33.2) and walks allowed (8). Additionally, the freshman recorded her team and Ivy League-leading second save of the season on March 30 in Game 2 against Dartmouth.
