Penn vs. Princeton

- The Penn lightweight rowing team will travel to Princeton to take on the Tigers in the Wood-Hammond Trophy Saturday morning. The Quakers are looking to rebound after finishing third last weekend at the Dodge Cup against Yale and Columbia.

- Penn beat Princeton for the first time in 26 years, winning in6:01.3to Princeton's 6:03.4 on the Schuylkill River. Georgetown finished first in 6:00 flat.

THE HISTORY - This annual competition between the varsity lightweight crews of Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania began in 1941, however, the trophy was not presented until 1946. Penn has captured 11 trophies, while Princeton has won 49 times. Princeton has dominated in recent years until the Quakers broke their streak of 26-straight wins last year.
