Penn vs. Columbia and Yale
THE RACE - The Penn lightweight rowing team takes on Columbia and Yale at the Dodge Cup on Mercer Lake. The Quakers are looking to regain their fast form from their season-opening race, the Lev-Brett Cup, in which they defeated Rutgers and Saint Joseph's. The Quakers finished third at last weekend's Matthews-Leonard Cup behind Harvard and Cornell.

LAST SEASON - Penn nearly beat Yale, but lost a heartbreaker in a photo finishby just two-tenths of a second. A bowball was all that seperated the two boats. Yale came in first in 5:57.1, while Penn finished in 5:57.3. Columbia was third in 6:01.0.
THE HISTORY - The Dodge Cup was first contested in 1954, and is named after Marcellus Hartley Dodge, a 1903 graduate of Columbia who was a coxswain for the Lions. Yale leads the all-time series with 29 cups, while Penn has won 15 times and Columbia four times. The Elis have had a stranglehold in recent years, winning 12 of the last 13.
