Navy Day Regatta Homepage

PHILADELPHIA - For the first time this fall, the University of Pennsylvania men's lightweight rowing team will race in an official competition on their home course. The 24th Navy Day Regatta is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday on Philadelphia's Schuylkill River.

With the Navy Day Regatta's first race at 8:30 a.m., the Quakers will begin shortly thereafter when the Red and Blue send their first boats out for competition at 10:12 a.m. Three of Penn's lightweight boats are slated to take part in that race - the Men's Collegiate 4+. The Quakers are also sending out three boats in the Men's Collegiate 8+, set to take off at 1:10 p.m.

Tentative boatings for the Quakers are listed below.

The event is a 2.5 mile-long head race that features more than 50 events and approximately 2,000 athletes each year. Last year, three of Penn's four boats finished in the top 10 in the Men’s College 4+ as well as in the Men’s College 8+.
