WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Penn baseball team returns to action following a two day layoff when it takes on Georgetown at 11 a.m. at Alfond Stadium.
It's been a long two days since the Quakers last took to the field. A scheduled off day followed by a cancelation due to inclement weather pushed the game back to today. Coach Cole is hoping that the two days off will refresh the team and have them ready to play today.
Despite the fact Penn hasn't played in the last few days and rain was torrential, the team has managed to stay busy down here in Florida. Following Wednesday's game the entire team was treated to a lovely dinner by the parents. It was a nice time for parents, players and coaches to mingle. On Thursday the team took advantage of the off day, catching up on some sleep before getting in a team workout at the local gym. Yesterday the team was kept on the ropes about the game cancelation until about noon; however that didn't stop them from getting a workout in at a local batting cage. Last night the team was again treated to dinner, this time by Stuart Solomon, Penn alumnus.
Moving back to baseball, Penn has a few changes in front of their lineup as you'll see, while sophomore Vince Voiro makes his second start of the season. Voiro is 1-0 on the season, allowing three earned runs while striking out a career-high six batters.

Ball gets past Davis as Cupelo moves over to third. Johnson sits down after flailing at the third strike, two down. Lentz fouls off two pitches with a full count before a grounder to Williams ends the game.
