PHILADELPHIA - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced its All-American Scholars for the 2015-16 academic year, and the list includes a pair of University of Pennsylvania juniors in Erin Lo and Isabella Rahm.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and includes a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. A total of 830 women's collegiate golfers across all NCAA and NAIA divisions were recognized with this prestigious honor.
Lo finished the 2015-16 season by competing in six of Penn's eight events, compiling a 78.4 stroke average over 18 tournament rounds. She was Penn's second scorer at the Ivy League Championships, and had three top-20 tournament finishes during the year led by a t-14 finish at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. Her low round this year was a 74, which she did in consecutive tournament rounds (final round at Kingsmill, first round at River Landing Classic).
Rahm, meanwhile, competed in seven of Penn's eight tournaments in 2015-16 and was the Quakers' co-leader with a 77.5 stroke average over 20 tourney rounds. She was the Red and Blue's low scorer in three events -- including the Ivy League Championships -- and had three top-10 finishes. Rahm's low rounds of 73 took place at the University of Delaware Invitational ad the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
