Maddie Poplawski to Play in North-South Game

North-South Game Rosters

PHILADELPHIA - Senior Maddie Poplawski was one of 40 seniors from around the country chosen to play in the 2013 IWLCA North-South Game this coming weekend. Held annually as part of Final Four Weekend, the North-South Game honors the nation's best seniors.

One of four Ivy League players chosen, Poplawski will play for the South Team on Sunday, May 26 at Cabrini College. The game starts at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by the Division II game at 12:45 p.m. and the Division III game at 2 p.m.

A team captain who started all 17 games this season, Poplawski was sixth on the team with 19 points and 17 goals. She was second on the club with 44 draw controls. Her 44 draw wins gave her 176 for her career -- a new Ivy League and Penn record for career draw control wins.

Poplawski graduated last week with four Ivy League championships, two Ivy League Tournament titles and four trips to the NCAA Tournament.
