PHILADELPHIA – Collecting his second postseason honor this year, University of Pennsylvania men’s squash freshman Marwan Mahmoud was recognized as College Squash Association Second-team All-America.
Playing in his first season at Penn, Mahmoud was named to the All-Ivy team earlier this spring.
Mahmoud finished the season, compiling a 15-6 overall record in the top spot on the ladder, including a 6-1 Ivy League record.
The Alexandria, Egypt native helped lead the Penn men’s team to a 9-8 record overall, and a 4-3 Ivy League finish. The Quakers made the CSA top-flight Potter Cup as the No. 8 seed, finishing the year as the seventh team in the country after defeating Franklin & Marshall in the final day of play.
