Manson Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Junior attacker Rachel Manson has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

In addition, junior goalie Sarah Waxman was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll.

Manson had a productive week for the No. 11 Quakers (10-1, 4-0 Ivy), recording a pair of hat tricks in road wins over No. 10 Penn State and Harvard. Manson has turned it on in recent weeks, scoring 14 goals in her last five games, including three or more goals in four of her last five games.

Waxman led Penn to a 2-0 week by making 10 saves and allowing only seven goals to push her record to 10-1. At Harvard, she held the Crimson scoreless in the first half as Penn ran away to a 10-0 halftime lead.

Penn returns to action Saturday when it hosts Dartmouth at 1 p.m.
