ITHACA - Marissa Rosen is two-for-two in Ivy Classic individual titles in her short gymnastics career at Penn. A 9.750 on vault added another championship to the won she claimed on beam in 2007.
As a team, Penn was unable to defend its title from 2007, finishing in third behind champion Cornell and Yale. A positive note for the Quakers is that their team score of 188.025 is the highest this season.
Other high finishes for Penn were Rosen on bars (second with a 9.650), Jordan Brewer (fifth on beam with a 9.575), Stephanie Ortiz and Brewer on the floor (tied for sixth with a 9.700) and Kim Chin, Elise Bowe and Rosen on beam (tied for eighth with a 9.450).
The Quakers return to action March 1 with a quad-meet at home in Hutchinson Gym. The Red and Blue host Temple, Towson and N.C. State at 1 p.m.
