PHILADELPHIA --One of the Collegiate Sprint Football League's most dominant receivers, Henry Mason was named CSFL Offensive Player of the Week for his effort's in Penn's 16-13 in over Mansfield on Friday.
Mason finished with nine catches and 113 yards against the Mountaineers, hauling in one touchdown pass.
He leads the CSFL in recepetions (31), receptions per game (6.2), receiving yards (530), receiving yards per game (106.0), and receiving touchdowns (7) to this point in the season.
Mason's 530 receiving yards this season are a career high and rank third-highest on Penn's single-season receiving yardage list. His 906 career receiving yards rank him fourth all-time at Penn.
Mason is the third Quakerr to earn CSFL Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, joining Max Jones (9/22) and Mike McCurdy (9/29).
The Quakers (4-1) head to Army West Point (5-0) this Friday night in a game with CSFl championship implications. Kickoff at Shea Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.
