McCurdy Named CSFL Offensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA --For the second consecutive week, the Collegiate Sprint Football League's Offensive Player of the Week comes from the University of Pennsylvania sprint football team as junior quarterback Mike McCurdy has been recognized by the CSFL for his efforts in Penn's 34-18 win at Post on Saturday.

McCurdy threw for 345 yards against the Eagles -- the fifth-highest single game passing total in program history. He threw for all four of Penn's offensive touchdowns in the win, upping his CSFL-leading total to seven early in the 2015 campaign. McCurdy also scampered for 50 yards, leading the Quakers in rushing for the game.

McCurdy's 345 yards on Saturday give him 3,116 passing yards for his career -- making hum just the second QB in propgram history to surpass the 3,000-yard mark.

The Quakers are 2-0 this season, and will head to 2-0 Navy this Friday night to take on the Midshipmen at 7 p.m.
