Men's Tennis to Co-Host Ivy-Plus Invitational this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – For the second-consecutive weekend, the University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team will host a three-day Invitational at the Hecht and Hamlin Tennis Centers. This time, the Quakers will join Princeton in co-hosting the Ivy-Plus Invitational.

Penn will send four players—Kyle Mautner, Josh Pompan, Matt Nardella, and Dmitry Shatalin—to compete at the Tigers’ Lenz Tennis Center, while the rest of the Quakers will stay home.

The three-day format will include seven singles’ brackets—four to be played at Princeton and three at Penn. There will also be seven doubles flights, three at the Hecht Center and four in Jersey. Full brackets and live results throughout the weekend can be found HERE.

Play will begin at 9 a.m. each day, beginning with all singles action on Friday. Doubles will kick things off on Saturday, followed by more singles play in the afternoon. The final matches will wrap up on Sunday, commencing with doubles and ending with singles.

All eight Ivy League schools will be in attendance, along with players from St. John’s, Penn State, Buffalo, Drexel, Marist, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin and VCU.
