PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania is one of just 14 Division I institutions to be recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for having bothits men's and women's soccer teams achieve GPA's of over 3.0 this season.
The Quaker men's team, under Head Coach Rudy Fuller, posted a 3.26 team GPA, while the women, under Head Coach Darren Ambrose, earned a 3.25. Penn is the only Ivy League school to have both teams honored, and Cornell's men's teamis the only other Ancient Eight program on the NSCAA list.
It is the sixth consecutive year that the Penn men's team has been honored by the NSCAA. The team was also honored during Homecoming on Nov. 5 as having the highest GPA of any Penn men's team.
