PHILADELPHIA The Penn men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are heading to Hanover, N.H. in a combined tri-meet with ivy foes Dartmouth and Yale Saturday at 10 a.m. The match-ups between the host Big Green and the Bulldogs will serve as the final conference meet of the season.
The men’s team enters the meet with a 2-3 record, which also represents the Quakers EISL record. Most recently, the Red and Blue was handed a loss by the undefeated Harvard Crimson, 213-85.
The host Big Green is 0-4 in the EISL and the meet will serve as Dartmouth’s first time back in the pool since late November. The Bulldogs are 1-1 in the EISL, falling to Cornell (221-79) on Jan. 10, but picking up a win early in the season to Columbia, 172-128. Last season, Penn downed Dartmouth (208-87), but fell to Yale (217-79) at a tri-meet in New Haven, Conn.
The women’s team is 2-3 overall/Ivy League and most recently fell to the dominate Harvard Crimson, 207-91. The Quakers will face a Dartmouth team that is currently 1-2 in the league and has not swam in a meet since November. The Bulldogs come into the meet 1-1 against Ivy League foes, after beating Cornell last week, but losing to Columbia back in November. In last year’s meeting the Red and Blue prevailed over Dartmouth (210-90), but was defeated by Yale (186-144).
