Men's and Women's swimming finish second Day of ECAC Championships

Day Two Results

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – In the second day of competition at the ECAC Championships the men’s swimming and diving team sits in 11th place with 71 points. The women are in eighth place with 170 points.

Andrea DeLeon, Sydney Sher, Sara Aiello and Francie Free placed tenth clocking at 1:53.67. In the 400-yard IM, Katherine Donahue (4:44.51) and Amy Wolf (4:45.96) placed 11th and 12th respectively.

Aiello (59.81) placed seventh in the A-Final of the 100-yard butterfly. Free placed 16th at 1:01.37. DeLeon (1:56.09) finished 10th in the 200-yard freestyle and Lauren Talman (1:58.51) was 13th.

Sher placed eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:09.50. Wolf placed 16th at 1:10.57. In the final event of the day for the Quakers, the 800-yard freestyle relay team placed fifth. DeLeon, Michelle Cohen, Lauren Talman and Erica Stutius clocked at 7:55.74.

On the men’s side, the 200-yard medley relay team finished ninth. T.J. Hutter, Matt Curtis, Michael Rico and Tim Howett finished at 1:38.97. In the 400-yard IM, J.T. Heffernan (4:13.79) placed 13th. Freshman Robert Casey (52.06) finished 13th in the 100-yard butterfly. Steve Martucci, Casey, Hutter and Heffernan finished 10th in the 800-yard freestyle relay at 7:10.53.
