Men's Cross Country Competes at Pre-Nationals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.--Brian Goldberg turned in Penn's top time as the team finished 30th at the Pre-National meet in Terre Haute, Ind.--the location of the NCAA Championship race in November. The Red and Blue scored 730 team points for a 30th-place finish.

Goldberg led the group with a time of 24:26 in 92nd place overall. Larry Contrella crossed the line at 24:53 (137th place) while Brian Trembley finished at 25:02. Newcomers Luke Grau (25:12) and Anguel Tolev (25:13) rounded out the scorers for Penn.

Michael Lovejoy (25:29) and Reid McEwen (DNF) also competed for Penn.

The Quakers will now prepare for Heptagonals, Oct. 26 at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.
