Men's Cross Country Heads To Heps On Friday

PHILADELPHIA - The men's cross country team looks to improve on last year's finish as they gear up for the 2009 Heptagonals at New York City's Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, October 30th.

The Quakers have gone nearly a month since their last meet on October 2, in which they placed 14th out of 42 teams in the Paul Short Invitational. The Penn State Invitational, scheduled for October 16th, was cancelled due to inclement weather.

In their last race, the Red and Blue were led by junior Christopher Baird, who finished 23rd overall with a time of 24:10. Fellow classmate Luke Grau will also be called upon to help the Quakers improve on last year's eighth place finish.

The men's race begins at 12:15 p.m and for more information on the 2009 Heptagonals, click here.
