Men's Cross Country Heads to NCAA Regionals

PHILADELPHIA--Lehigh will host the 2007 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Cross Country Regional Saturday morning on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa. The Quakers will begin their10K trek at11 a.m.

Penn is two weeks removed from its third-place finish at Heptagonals where Reid McEwen and Brian Goldberg both earned All-Ivy honors.

Last season at the Regional meet, the team finished in eighth place, led by Goldberg who was the 29th overall finisher.

The top two teams at each regional meet automatically qualify for the championship meet. Thirteen additional at-large teams will be selected by the track and field subcommittee on November 11. The first four individuals not on a qualifying team automatically advance to the finals. Two additional qualifiers will be selected at-large based on the highest non-qualifying finish in the regional championship meets.

The Division I NCAA Championship will be at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 19.
