Men's Cross Country Places Eighth At Heps

New York, N.Y. - The Penn men's cross country team took eighth place at Friday's Heptagonals held at Van Cortlandt Park.

The Quakers' top finisher on the day was junior Christopher Baird who placed 34th overall with a time of 26:39. Senior Kevin Sullivan was the second Penn runner and finished two spots behind Baird with a time of 26:43.

Rounding out the top five for the Red and Blue were junior Robert Dugger (27:00), sophomore Evan Heflin (27:09) and sophomore Michael Cunningham (27:16).

Columbia, meanwhile, won its first Heps title since 2004 and ended Princeton's three year reign as champs by knocking off the Tigers by a single point, 60-61.
