PHILADELPHIA - The men's cross country takes part in its final meet before the Heptagonal Championships, when the Quakers travel to take part in the Penn State National on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
The Red and Blue are one of over 25 teams in a field which features a few nationally ranked programs. In Penn's most recent meet, the team raced to a 14th place finish at the Paul Short Invitational in soggy conditions.
The Quakers had three different runners finish in the top 90, with senior Christopher Baird taking 26th overall in 24:35, followed by fellow classmate Luke Grau 18 seconds later in 49th (24:53). Freshman Conner Paez rounded out the top three with an 88th place finish.
Senior Phil Cawkwell ran the course in 25:23 to place fourth among the Red and Blue and take 132nd while Michael Cunningham rounded out Penn's scoring by placing 169th with a time of 25:39.
