NEW YORK, N.Y. - The men's cross country team took seventh in a field of 23 teams at the Iona Meet of Champions on Saturday morning.
The Quakers scored 206 points, good for seventh out of 23 teams, and second among Ivy schools as Yale finished fourth with 144 points. Kent State finished first overall.
Penn's top finisher on the morning was junior Christopher Baird, who took tenth overall with a time of (25:50.92).Penn senior Kevin Sullivan (26:15.69) and junior Luke Grau (26:38.16) finished 27th and 44th, respectively.Freshman Kevin Foy was the fourth finisher for the Quakers as he took 61st with a time of 27:05.51, and sophomore Ryan Cunningham concluded the scoring for Penn with a 64th place finish (27:11.40).
Penn has the next weekend off, before running at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa. on October 2.
