PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The Quakers used a top 20 finish from junior Christopher Baird as they took 12th out of 28 teams at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional on Saturday.
Baird placed 18th overall with a time of 32:36.6 in the 10k and was named All-Region for his efforts, as all five of Penn's top runners finished in the top 100. The Red and Blue's 320 points were good for 12th and just 21 points from putting them in the top ten. Goergetown and Villanova finished 1-2 with 38 and 48 points respectively.
Senior Kevin Sullivan was the second Quaker to cross, taking 68th in a time of 34:07.1. Senior Brian Cullin finished 71st (34:09.3) while Luke Grau (34:10.8) and sophomore Evan Heflin (34:30.0) rounded out the top five.
