Bethlehem, Pa. - The Penn men's cross country team finished 15th out of 42 teams in sloppy conditions at the Paul Short Invitational Friday morning in Bethlehem.
The Quakers fought through the rain as three different runners finished within the top 90. Senior Christopher Baird placed 26th overall with a time of 24:35. Fellow classmate Luke Grau finished 18 seconds behind him in 49th (24:53) and freshman Conner Paez rounded out the top three with a 88th place finish.
Senior Phil Cawkwell ran the course in 25:23 to take 132nd while Michael Cunningham rounded out the Red and Blue's scoring by placing 169th with a time of 25:39.
The Quakers return to action in two weeks when they race in the Penn State Invitational on Oct. 16.
