NEW YORK- Two harriers for the University of Pennsylvania men’s cross country team finished in top 20, leading the Quakers to a fourth-place showing at the Fordham Invitational at Van Cortland Park Saturday morning.
Senior Breton Bonnette finished 10th overall with a time of 25:49, while junior Ian Foley completed the 8K course in 26:22 to finish 17th overall and second among Quaker runners. Sophomore Dan Howard finished 24th with a time of 25:36, followed by junior Eric Pauley, who placed 26th in a time of 26:38. Just on their heels was freshman Sean McGinley, who finished 27th with a time of 26:39. Junior Michael Cassidy and sophomore Brian Goldberg placed 29th and 35th, respectively, to round outPenn's scoring.
Martin Fagon of Providence won the meet with a time of 25:26.01. Princeton won the meet with 37 points after four harriers finished among the top-8. Providence placed second with 52 points, followed by Navy with 57 and the Quakers with 101. Host Fordham rounded out the top-five with 175 points.
Penn returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Delaware Invitational in Newark, Del.
