PHILADELPHIA - The Penn men's cross country team travels back to Van Cortlandt Park in New York for the second time in as many weeks on Saturday for the Iona Meet of Champions.
The Red and Blue won the Fordham Fiasco last weekend with a dominating performance, as the Quakers' top five runners finished in the top 11. Senior Luke Grau took fifth overall and finishing right behind him and sixth and seventh was junior Michael Cunningham and freshman Conner Paez.
Junior James Finucane took 10th and sophomore John Foye was behind him in 11th. Also finishing in the top 20 was freshman Gus McKenzie and junior Chris McDonnell.
In 2009 the Quakers finished seventh in the event, with Chrisopher Baird taking 10th to lead the team. This year the Red and Blue are one of four Ivy League teams and 19 overall to take part in the race, which begins at 10:15 a.m.
