Men's Cross Country Wins Second In a Row


NEWARK, Del.--The Penn men's cross country team won the Delaware Invite, Saturday, paced by freshman Luke Grau and senior Dan Howard in first and second place. The Quakers scored 31 points in the second team win in as many meets this season.

Grau and Howard were neck and neckat,26:22, the best time of the day on the 8K course at White Clay Creek State Park, with Grau declared the winner. Brian Cullin (26:52) and Chris Baird (26:54)finished seventh and eighth. Tarik Aougab finished 13th with a time of 27:07 to round out theRed and Bluescoring.

Seven other Quakers competed in the race: John Cassidy (27:16), Jeff Weinstein (27:24), Kevin Sullivan (27:31), Alejandro Shepard (27:44), Bryan Scotland (28:18), Austin McDaniel (28:39) andTim Kaijala (28:47).

The Quakers will head to the Paul Short Invite, hosted by Lehigh, in Bethlehem, Pa., Sept. 29.
