Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Pennsylvania men's fencing team wentwinless on Saturday in action at Temple. The Quakers fell to Columbia, 18-9, St. John's, 17-10 and Penn State, 20-7.
The Quakers (13-4, 3-1 Ivy) fell in all three weapons to Columbia. Penn lost the sabre, 8-1, the foil, 5-4 and the epee, 5-4. Against St. John's the Quakers won the foil, 5-4, after falling in the sabre, 6-3, and in the epee, 7-2.
Against Penn State, the Quakers fell in the sabre, 9-0. The Red and Blue also fell in the foil, 5-3 and in the epee, 6-3.
The Penn men's fencing team is next in action on Saturday, Feb. 26 when they will compete in the IFA's in Providence, R.I.
