"I am very excited about this year's class," said Allen, who will enter his third year with the golf programs in 2010-11. "I think all three players will come in right away and compete for starting spots on a team that is already very deep. We had the Ivy League Rookie of the Year in last year's class (Colin St. Maxens), and I think there is a chance that this year's Rookie of the Year is one of these three."
Penn finished third at last year's Ivy League Championships after a runner-up finish in 2009, Allen's first year with the program. Sophomore Scotty Williams was the individual medalist at this year's Ivies, and competed as an individual at the NCAA East Regional hosted by Yale.
