Princeton, N.J. - The Penn men's golf team finished 14th at the 2005 Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club on April 9. The Quakers shot a two-day total of 916 after shooting a 299-309 on the first day and a 308 on day two.
Leading the way for the Red and Blue was Derek Rogers, who carded a 72-74-72=218 for the tournament to finish tied for sixth. Sean Barrett finished tied for 34th with a 74-77-76=227 and Patrick Cooper was 65th with a 76-78-82=236.
Garrett Wentzell shot a 77-80-80=237 and rounding out the Penn contingent was Dean Merrill, who shot a 81-82-80. Michael Kornheiser competed as an individual at the event and shot an 86-82-86=254.
This event was the final tuneup for the Penn men's golf team before the 2005 Ivy League Championships which will be held on April 16-17 at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg, N.J.
