Men's Golf FInishes Sixth at JMU Invitational

Harrisonburg, Va. - The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team finished sixth at the James Madison Invitational on Oct. 10 after shooting a three-round score of 863. The Quakers tied with Maryland for sixth place honors after shooting a 292-288-283. Penn's 283 in the final round was the third-best score that day.

Individually, Sean Barrett led the Quakers with an eighth place finish after shooting a 210 (70-72-68) for the tournament. Dean Merrill was second with a 215 (71-72-72) for a 19th place finish and Patrick Cooper was third with a 219 (73-74-72), which was good for 36th place.

The Quakers will finish the fall season at the Big 5 Classic which they will host at Philadelphia Cricket Club on Oct. 16-17.
