Hamburg, N.J. - The Penn men's golf team finished third at the 2005 Ivy League Championships at Ballyowen Golf Club behind Sean Barrett's second-place 216. Barrett earned All-Ivy League honors after shooting a three-round total 216 (74-70-72).
The tournament proved to be tight. Princeton won the event with an 862, while Cornell (893), Penn (894) and Columbia (895) finished just one shot apart for second through fourth places.
Derek Rogers finished the three-round tournament with a 224 (73-77-74) to place 10th, while Garrett Wentzell's 227 (77-75-75) left him tied for 18th place. Patrick Cooper finished 24th with a 74-80-76=230 and Dean Merrill was tied for 26th with a 231 (77-77-77).
The Ivy League championship is the final tournament of the season for the Quakers.
