REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The Penn men's golf team took third place at its Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational, but Marco Fortades certainly made an argument to be included in the Quakers' lineup for the next even they play.

The sophomore was one of three Penn players to compete in Monday's 36-hole event as an individual, but he shot 68-71--139 (-3) to tie for the individual title in the 56-player field. Fortades' first-round 68 was the low score in that round, and ended the day tied with Lafayette's Rob Robertson (72-67--139) and Navy's Tim Shield (69-70--139).

Max Marsico tied for fourth behind those three golfers, carding 72-69--141 which was one under par. Freshman Austin Powell tied for eighth (73-72--145) and another player competing as an individual, classmate Ben Cooley, was right behind him tied for 10th (77-69--146).

Colin St. Maxens carded 70-80--150 and was tied for 20th, while Dillon Hakes shot 77-75--152 and finished alone in 26th place. Scotty Williams rounded out Penn's lineup with a pair of 78s to tie for 34th overall, while Geoff Locher competed as an individual and shot 82-75--157.
