ARDMORE, Pa. - In its final fall event of the 2015-16 season, the University of Pennsylvania men's gofl team took third out of five teams at Saturday's City Six Shootout, which took place on the famed Merion Golf Club East course.
Penn finished at 302 on a day when all five schools stayed within striking range. Saint Joseph's ended up taking the team title with a 298, while Drexel shot 301. After Penn, Villanova was right behind at 303 and Villanova took last with a 306.
Senior Patrick O'Leary shot a 1-over-par 71, which tied with SJU's Brian Turley for the low scorer among 30 golfers. Amay Poria tied for third place with a 74, while junior Matt Kern carded a 78 and sophomore Carter Thompson shot a 79. Freshman Josh Goldenberg carded an 83, while classmate KJ Smith carded an 85.
