Men's Heavyweight Rowing Wins Three Races


WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Penn men's heavyweight rowing team won three of the five races against George Washington, Saturday.

Racing on the Potomac River, the Quakers' 2nd Varsity 8, Freshman 8 and Varsity 4 beat GW's boats while the Varsity 8 was just one tenth of a second shy of claiming the McCausland Cup.

The Freshman 8 and Varsity 4 both had commanding leads over GW's times winning by five seconds.

The Quakers are back in action, April 11 for the Childs Cup against Princeton and Columbia on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
