Men's Heavyweights Finish 19th at Head of the Charles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The Penn men's heavyweight Varsity 8 competed Sunday at the prestigious Head of the Charles finishing in 19th-place in the Championship Eights race.

The crew consisted of Nadan Sehic, William Probasco, James Daughdrill, Ben Nace, Tim Simon, Neil MePeak, Adam Jones, Sam Baum and coxswain Halley Sloane. They clocked a time of 15:04.858.

The winning timeof 14:03.711 was turned in by a US Rowing crew. Rounding out the top five were Wisconsin (14:30.018), Brown (14:31.877), Princeton (14:32.153) and Cal (14:35.660).

The men are home on the Schuylkill River for their next competition at the Head of the Schuylkill, Oct. 27 followed by the Princeton Chase, Oct. 28 on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
