PHILADELPHIA – Penn Athletics has announced its ticket prices for the 2016 men’s lacrosse season, which starts in less than two weeks when the University of Michigan comes to Franklin Field on Saturday, Feb. 20.
The Quakers will play eight home games this season, seven on historic Franklin Field and the regular-season finale at Rhodes Field against local rival Saint Joseph’s. Penn’s home schedule also includes intrastate rivals Penn State (March 5) and Lafayette (March 8); one of last year’s NCAA finalists in Maryland (March 29); and a trio of Ivy League rivals in Cornell (March 26), Brown (April 9) and Harvard (April 16).
Four of Penn’s home opponents this season are ranked in the USILA national preseason poll: Maryland (4th), Brown (10th), Harvard (15th), and Cornell (17th). Inside Lacrosse has ranked Penn's overall schedule 11th toughest in the country.
Penn returns several starters from last year, highlighted by senior attackman Nick Doktor who recently became the highest Major League Lacrosse draft pick in program history. The Quakers also feature three players who will represent the United States at the Under-19 World Cup this summer in Canada -- freshmen Tyler Dunn, Alex Roesner and Noah Lejman.
Please note that all lacrosse seating for the 2016 season will be on the South side of Franklin Field, which is across from the benches. This is due to construction being done on the North side of Franklin Field throughout the spring.
