PRINCETON, N.J. In their final race of the fall season, the University of Pennsylvania men’s rowing teams raced four boats Sunday at the Belly of the Carnegie.
The men’s freshmen heavyweight eight’s highest finish was 13th clocking in at 14:27.16. The Quakers other crew came in 16th at 14:42.21.
The freshmen lightweight eight’s best finish was 14th place. They finished at 14:19.92. Penn’s second boat came in 17th, 10 seconds behind Georgetown at 14.53.05.
Overall, Penn came in second in the Belly of the Carnegie Point Trophy. Of 10 schools that raced two boats in each men’s heavyweight, lightweight and women’s, the Quakers had a composite time of 1:31:11.04. The Red and Blue finished just three minutes behind first-place Cornell.
