Men's Rowing Races at Head of the Charles

BOSTON – The University of Pennsylvania men’s rowing teams had solid outings at the 42nd Head of the Charles, the largest head race in world. The lightweight raced one boat, but finished sixth and the heavyweight raced three boats, two of which had good performances.

The lightweight eight finished sixth out of 26 boats at 14:54.448. They came in ahead of four Ivy League foes.

The heavyweight championship four finished ninth out of 18 crews. They came in at 16:35.643. The other heavyweight boat that raced Sunday was the championship eight. They came in23rd out of 44 at 15:03.692. Penn’s other boat in the championship eight finished at 16:37.232.

Next weekend the Red and Blue will have a busy weekend. Saturday, Penn races at the Head of the Schuylkill, then the Princeton Chase Sunday.
