Men's Soccer Alum, Cepero, Earns Start in MLS

NEW YORK, N.Y.--Former Penn goalkeeper Dan Cepero earned his first career start in the MLS Saturday night for the New York Red Bulls--and scored a goal. After being drafted to NYRB in 2007, became the first Quaker to get the starting nod in an MLS game.

In addition to two saves in a 3-1 win, Cepero notched a goal. That's right, scoring from his own 35-yard line in the 83rd minute, Cepero also became the first Quaker to score in an MLS game.
