With five minutes to play in the first half, Lehigh had one of its best chances stolen by the quick reaction of junior goalkeeper Ben Berg. It was the only save he was officially credited with, though he was instrumental in keeping the Mountain Hawks off the board in the waning minutes of the game. Lehigh keeper Jonathan Nydell made three in the game.
Penn returned from the halftime break with the same momentum and scored afterjust over two minutes back. Junior Loukas Tasigianis had dribbled the ball along the far side and smartly dished it to Barreiro alone on the opposite side. Barreiro charged in at the keeper and nailed a shot that bounced off the keeper, but up and over into the net.
