PHILADELPHIA--The Penn men's soccer team conceded two goals to Dartmouth Saturday night at Rhodes Field. The Quakers fell to 4-5-2 and 1-1-0 in the Ivy League. The Big Green improved to 7-2-2 and remained unbeaten in the Ivies at 1-0-1.
The Red and Blue outshot Dartmouth 13-9, but could finish their chances in the face-paced match.
The Big Green scored goals early in each half. The first came in the ninth minute from Dani Rothenberg. Then just five minutes into the second half of play, Rothenberg set up Matt Miller for a second goal.
The high-intensity match kept the ball moving, but neither team was able to put many shots on goal with just three apiece. Dartmouth's keeper, Sean Milligan made three saves in the shutout while junior Drew Healy made one save for the Quakers.
Penn is back in action, Wednesday when the team travels to Rutgers for its final non-conference match of the season. Kick off is set for 7 p.m. in Piscataway, N.J.
