Men's Soccer Incoming Class Listed in Nation's Best

PHILADELPHIA—CollegeSoccerNews.com released its top-40 recruiting classes for 2008 with the Quakers’ five-man class coming in at 36. Penn was the only Ivy team represented in the rankings.

This spring Fuller said, “This is another great class for our program. They all have a tremendous character and work ethic on and off the field. The group has achieved quite a bit of success with their various club and regional teams over the years and three of the young men have national team experience as well.”

Since being announced as members of Penn’s Class of 2012, Christian Barreiro, Thomas Brandt and Jake Levin rejoined their club team, Baltimore Casa Mia Bays, and won the inaugural US Soccer Academy U-18 National Championship in Los Angeles. (Click here to read more about the championship)

Barreiro also garnered individual acclaim from CollegeSoccerNews.com as one of its picks for Top 100 Freshmen to Watch. (Click here for more)
