STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Penn men's soccer team watched Penn State run away with four-goal second half to win 5-0 in State College, Pa. The Quakers fell to 3-3-2 on the season while Penn State improved to 6-3-1 and remained undefeated at home.

Penn had a tall order heading into Happy Valley, Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions were 4-0-1 at home this season and had outscored those team 14-2. Unfortunately, the home team had no intention of letting that record slip.

PSU scored midway through the first half to hold a 1-0 lead going into the break. In the second half, however, the Nittany Lions exploited Penn's miscues and racked up four goals in the final 30 minutes of play.

Penn State's offensive onslaught kept Quaker keeper Ben Berg busy as he made six saves in the game and was matched by solid defending in the back third. Penn was only allowed five shots and saw just one on goal.

The Quakers will look to rebound in their Ivy League opener Saturday when they host Cornell at Rhodes Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. There will be no in-game blog for Saturday's contest.
