Men's Squash Schedule
PHILADELPHIA – Coming off a 2012 Hoehn Cup victory and ending the year as the ninth-ranked team in the nation, Penn men’s squash will look to move up even further in the 2012-13 campaign. The Quakers will be at home for five matches this year, and have a schedule that includes matches against seven of the top eight ranked teams from last year.
Penn opens up play Nov. 12-13 with the Ivy League scrimmages at Yale. Official competition gets underway with matches against George Washington and Bates on Nov. 17 in Washington D.C. George Washington is the reigning Summers Cup Champion (NCAA-C) and ended last year ranked 17th.
After matches at Drexel (Nov. 28) and at Williams and Middlebury (Nov. 30), the Quakers will kick off a three-game home stand. The home opener will be against Navy on Dec. 6. After a month break from competition, the Quakers will resume play with two Ivy League matches at home against Harvard (Jan. 12) and Dartmouth (Jan. 13).
The Quakers then travel to Franklin & Marshall (Jan. 16) for a non-conference match and host Trinity (Jan.19), who finished 2011-12 second in the polls, at home before travelling to reigning Potters Cup Champions and number one ranked Princeton (Jan. 30).
The season wraps up with three Ivy League matches. Penn travels to Yale (Feb. 3) and Columbia (Feb. 8) and finishes the regular season at home against Cornell (Feb. 10). The CSA team championships will be held from Feb. 22-24 at Yale. The season closes with the CSA individual tournament from Mar. 2-4 at Trinity College.
