Men's Squash Bounces Back, Defeating Brown 8-1

PHILADELPHIA – After dropping a tough 9-0 decision to No. 3 Yale Saturday afternoon, the 10th-ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team bounced right back defeating Brown 8-1 Sunday.

Penn (7-3, 3-2 Ivy) had the tough match against Yale, along with hosting its 125th Jubilee Saturday evening, an event that brought over 300 former men’s and women’s players, family and friends to celebrate the tradition and history of Penn squash.

The Quakers were able to handle all the weekend’s festivities with no problem, cruising to the 8-1 victory over Brown (4-11, 0-4 Ivy) with little trouble. Many of the men’s squashers had little trouble today highlighted by sophomore Liam Quinn, freshman Rahil Fazelbhoy and George Lemmon, and co-captains John Dudzik and Jack Maine.

Penn has just one more weekend in the regular season and it will be a crucial one. Two Ivy matches remain, one on the road against Cornell and the season finale at home against Columbia.

The Quakers are looking for their first winning record in the Ivy League since the 2006-07 season.
