Men's Squash Defeats Williams, 6-3

Philadelphia, Pa. -- The University of Pennsylvaniamen's squash team defeated Williams, 6-3, on Friday evening in the Ringe Squash Courts.

The Quakers dominated the early matches, winning at the number one through five positions to take the match. At No. 1, Gilly Lane defeated Jon Barry, 3-0 while Rich Repetto defeated William Walter, 3-1 at No. 2. Ben Ende defeated Tony Maruca, 3-0 at the number three position and Jacob Himmelrich defeated Andrew Pizzi at No. 4, 3-0. At the number five position, Spencer Kurn secured the victory for the Quakers, defeating Morgan Phillips, 3-0. At No. 6, Eric Bardawil fell to Todd Herlihy, 3-1, Colby Emersonlost a hard-fought matchto Charlie Giammatti, 3-1 at No. 7 and Drew Crockett fell to Tyler Kyle, 3-1 at the number eight position. Penn closed out the victory with a win at No. 9. Will Simonton defeated Chris Toms, 3-0 for the win.

The Quakers are next in action on Feb. 5 when they host Harvard in the Ringe Squash Courts at noon.
